Taylor Alison Swift was born December 13 1989. Her discography is diverse as is her songwriting style, which frequently is influenced by her own life experiences, has been widely reported by the press. Swift was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania. She relocated to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 14 to become a singer-songwriter. Swift signed a songwriting contract with Sony/ATV Music Publishing, in 2004, and a recording contract at Big Machine Records, in 2005. She was the first female country singer to record an U.S. platinum-certified debut album, with her self-titled album. Swift's next albums, Fearless (2008) and Speak Now (2010), focused on the country genre of pop. The latter's "Love Story"" and "You Belong with Me," were among the first country songs that reached the top of both the U.S. Pop and All-Genre charts. Red (2012) saw her experiment with electronic and rock styles. It featured her first Billboard Hot 100 number one track, "We Are Never Ever getting Back Together". The singer also abandoned her country image on 1989 (2014) the synth-pop album. This album was supported by chart-topping singles "Shake It Off","Blank Space”, and "Bad Blood". Reputation, a hip-hop-flavored album with the number-one song "Look What You Made Me Do", was inspired by media scrutiny. Swift quit Big Machine in 2018, and signed in 2018 with Republic Records. In 2019, Swift released Lover (2019), followed closely by Miss Americana (2020), an autobiography of her life. In her albums for 2020, Folklore and Red, Swift delved into indie and alternative rock. Her singles "Cardigan", "Willow" and "Willow," topped the Hot 100. Swift began recording her first six albums again after an argument with the masters. Two of the albums were reissued in 2021--Fearless(Taylor’s version) and Red (Taylor’s version). The Red's "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)" was the longest track to make it onto the Hot 100. Records for streaming all time were set by Swift's 2022 album Midnights as well as the single "Anti-Hero." Swift has also produced music videos and films such as All Too Well, The Short Film (2021) and performed in supporting roles. Swift is one of the top-selling artists ever. She has sold over 200 million copies across the world. Swift is the top streamed person on Spotify. The five albums she has released have more than one million copies sold across the US. Swift has been awarded 12 Grammy Awards, including three Album of the Year awards and the Emmy Award. There have also been 39 American Music Awards; 29 Billboard Music Awards and 92 Guinness World Records. Swift was included in the Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Singers of All Time, Billboard’s Greatest of All Time Artists and Forbes Celebrity 100. Swift was awarded the Artist of the Decade title as well as the Woman of the Decade title. Swift's music is frequently credited for inspiring the next generation of singer-songwriters.
