Mischa Barton and Nadia Elena Comaneci
Mischa Barton was born on the 24th of January, 1986 in Hammersmith, the United Kingdom. The O.C. she played Marissa Cooper a socialite. She appeared also as a character in The Sixth Sense, a suspense film. The O.C. which she appeared in was a cult TV series. Alongside She starred in the popular TV program The O.C. Benjamin McKenzie played her love-interest. She was paired with Benjamin McKenzie, who played the role of her love attraction. Barton debuted on television in 1993, playing Corvina Lan, in flashbacks of the All My Children soap opera. She appeared on television in 1996 and took over Michelle Trachtenberg's part as Lily Benton Montgomery. She was a guest star in eight episodes of the show Once and Again as Jessie Sammler's (Evan Rachel Wood) partner Katie Singer. In 2001, Barton returned to acting, and was a part of an independently-produced Canadian film, titled Lost and Delirious. It was based off The Susan Swan novel The Wives of Bath. Barton was highly praised for her performance, as well as that of Piper Perabo. Julie Johnson (2002), in which Lili Taylor and Courtney Love played the daughters of lesbians involved in an affair. Barton was a supporting character alongside Brad Renfro, Dominique Swain and Brad Renfro in Tart (2001) which is an independent show that was aimed at teens. Nadia Elena Comaneci..........................At the 1976 Olympics a 14-year-old Romanian captured the hearts and minds of the world with her daring and perfectio earning seven perfect tens three gold medals one silver and one bronze. Her reception in Romania was that of a hero. The following year during the 1988 Olympics Comaneci earned two more gold medals and two silver to increase her Olympic total to nine medals. Comaneci joined the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame and ABC News named her one of the top female athletes in the 20th Century in 1999. In April of 1996, Comaneci married American Olympic Champion Bart Conner and they have one son, Dylan Paul. The couple owns several business ventures related to gymnastics. One of them is the Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy. Comaneci has also been active in a variety of causes, and has been an active member of both the Special Olympics International Muscular Dystrophy Association board of directors as well as the Laureus Sports For Good Foundation. She is still a supporter of dozens of charitable organizations in Romania. This is the case for Nadia Comaneci Children's Hospital of Bucharest.
